Executive Summary

The Michael G. Curran Family Foundation (the “Foundation”) was incorporated on April 11, 2003 as a nonprofit charitable private foundation with a mission, “To positively impact the lives of children and young adults.” The Foundation was created and funded by its Founder, Michael G. Curran to provide leadership and financial resources for inspired philanthropy that will directly impact the lives of children and young adults.

The Foundation has been the life-long journey of its Founder and his family to turn the principals of business success into the principals of human significance. In order to distribute limited resources, donations made by the Foundation have historically been  prioritized for nonprofit organizations and community program in  Wake County, NC  that are aligned with the Foundation’s mission.  On January 1, 2022, the Foundation extended its reach to the Tampa Bay, Florida region with the hiring of Travis Williams, the Foundation’s first full-time Executive Director.  Over the next 3-5 years, the Foundation will develop its business plan to positively  impact the lives of children and young adults in the Tampa Bay Region.  At the same time, the Foundation will continue to support the nonprofit Triangle Aquatic Center and other nonprofit organizations in the Wake County communities of North Carolina.

Successful philanthropy requires a high level of accountability and stewardship of financial and human resources. In order to optimize the impact of every dollar, the Foundation collaborates with nonprofit organizations and community programs to leverage financial resources and knowledge in pursuit of its Mission.

The Foundation knows that the children we positively impact, or don’t impact today will become the leaders or burdens of our communities tomorrow. Please join in with the Foundation to positively impact the lives of children and young adults today, who will become the leaders of our communities tomorrow.
